Celebratory Webinar: 25 Years of Impact

We are celebrating 25 years of Women & Children First, and the achievements of its partners who have championed community participation in global health, using the Participatory Learning and Action (PLA) approach.

Speakers include:

• Professor Anthony Costello, giving an overview and history of how groups successfully reduced maternal and newborn mortality

• Nirmala Nair from Ekjut, on how they effectively scaled up the group approach in the Jharkhand state of India, saving mothers and babies lives

• Professor Hannah Kuper, from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, on adapting PLA to support people living with disabilities to access healthcare

• Elizabeth Ombech, a Director from Afya Research Africa, on how groups help adolescent women improve sexual and reproductive health

• A panel of experts, talking about PLA's potential to address other health and climate-related issues around the world
