PLA-MNH E-Learning Course
Welcome to Women and Children First’s groundbreaking e-learning course on the Participatory Learning and Action for Maternal and Newborn Health (PLA-MNH) group approach.
This e-learning course has been developed, written and produced by world experts in the PLA-MNH group approach. The course builds on 20 years experience designing, implementing and evaluating the approach and has been used to train teams and establish PLA-MNH group programmes in 13 countries - and counting.
Modules
Module 1
Module 1 provides an overview of the PLA-MNH group approach. You will learn why, where and how the PLA-MNH group approach is implemented, who are the key beneficiaries and what resources are required.
Module 1 is for PLA-MNH group programme planners.
Module 2
Module 2 supports the planning of a PLA-MNH group programme from start to finish. You will learn the 31 key recommendations that should be considered when planning a PLA-MNH group programme and you will be supported to use these recommendations to plan your own programmes, ensure sustainability and budget effectively.
Module 2 is for PLA-MNH group programme planners.
Module 3
This module explores the four key responsibilities of PLA-MNH group facilitators: facilitating the PLA-MNH group action cycle, reporting on PLA-MNH group progress, linking PLA-MNH groups and building the capacities of PLA-MNH group committees.
Module 3 is for PLA-MNH group programme trainers.
Module 4
This module explores the four key responsibilities of PLA-MNH group supervisors: supervising the PLA-MNH group facilitators, reporting on PLA-MNH group progress, linking PLA-MNH groups and building the capacities of PLA-MNH group facilitators.
Module 4 is for PLA-MNH group programme trainers.
Module 5
This module explores the four key responsibilities of PLA-MNH group managers: managing PLA-MNH group programmes, reporting on PLA-MNH group progress, linking PLA-MNH groups and building the capacities of PLA-MNH group supervisors.
Module 5 is for PLA-MNH group programme trainers.
